Hi there! I’m Kayla— a graphic designer with a decade of experience elevating brands through creative design. In that time, I have grown my skills tremendously both as a designer and leader through continued education and leading major projects.

Growing up, I was already thoroughly immersed in the art and design world as my dad is also a designer. When I got to college, it seemed like second nature to continue down that path as I absolutely love creating.

Over the past few years, I have grown my skills tremendously both as a designer and leader. I love to learn so I'm constantly educating myself by taking courses not only in design but also in leadership. I’ve created several presentations to educate my peers on Generative AI, design, and more, and have even built courses to assist other designers in growing their skills.

My favorite thing about design is when I receive a new project and am able to brainstorm creative ways to make the content catch the viewers eye and connect with them. Working in banking and previously in the world of education and dentistry, I understand that design must not only look fantastic but it needs to be easy to understand so that is always top of mind when I'm designing.

If you talk to any of my friends, family or co-workers, you'll learn how passionate I am about creating but also how loyal I am. I pride myself on being a team player and someone that everyone feels welcome around. I'm big on putting yourself in the other person's shoes before making a decision. Everyone should be treated how you would want to be.

To end off, you get a peak behind the curtain of my non-work life! When I'm not sitting at my desk, I'm hanging out with my two cats, Peanut and Charlie, and my husband, Matt. You'll usually find me reading, watching the latest true crime show, or trying to talk my husband into another spontaneous road trip!
